WRE CLASSES
Main Men and Women classes are organised as World Ranking Event. Important note: Men class is marked as H21 and Women class is marked as D21. On Saturday, the qualification heats are marked with A, B, C or D at the end of the name of the class. On Sunday, only the A-finals, marked as H21A and D21A are organised as World Ranging Event.

PROGRAMME
Saturday, September 23, 2017 – long distance qualification (WRE for classes D21 and M21)
Sunday, September 24, 2017 – long distance finals (WRE for classes D21A and H21A)

PUBLIC RACE
Classes D3, T4 and T8 have interval start according to the start list for both days. The entry is possible for 150%

PARKING
Cars: a meadow near the Event centre for 50 CZK/car/weekend.
Buses: according to the instructions of the organisers.

PUNCHING SYSTEM
Electronic system SPORTIdent is used for all classes. We ask runners with their own SI-card to check the number with the one listed in the start list. If the SI card number is not correct please contact the Event office immediately. Rented SI-cards must be picked up at the Event centre and returned at the finish, right after the read-out. It is the runner‘s responsibility to clear and check the SI-card when entering the start corridors. For the runner the race ends by punching the finish unit, the read-out unit is situated right after the finish area. In case of system failure, punch the special boxes on the edge of your map with the pin punch attached to the control flag to prove that you visited the control. All runners, even those who did not finish the stage or do not have all the controls, are obliged to read out their SI cards. Each SI-card can only be used once in the competition.

TERRAIN
The Jizera Mountains terrain with numerous re-entrants, boulders, cliffs and crags. The upper part with harder stony ground, the flatter lower part with small marshes. Moderate density of paths, mixed forest with thickets in places.

COMPETITION AREA
The whole area of the race map except the marked route to the start and the quarantine zone. Competitors are strictly prohibited to enter all competition areas except for the time period between the start time and punching the finish SI unit.

COMPULSORY ROUTES
Start – Start of orientation (map start)
Last control – Finish
Compulsory routes will be marked with red-white tape or ribbons in the terrain.

WATER/REFRESHMENT STATIONS
On both days, Saturday and Sunday, water will be provided in cups at refreshment points in the finish zone, in the quarantine (start 1), in the start area (start 2), and at control points on courses (marked in the control descriptions) as well as on routes between control points (marked in the maps).

FORBIDDEN AREA
It is forbidden to enter areas marked with map symbols 522.0 (fence); 524.0 (high fence); 709.0 (inaccessible area); 707.0 (impassable line) – marked with red-white tape in the terrain. This will be checked at random by organisers. Any violations will result in disqualification.

RESULTS
Preliminary results will be posted in the Event centre, final results will be also available on the Internet. Online splits will be available at http://liveresultat.orientering.se/.

PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY
Estimated time of the prize giving ceremony is on Sunday at 15.00. Best six runners in all classes of the Czech Championships and best three in all classes of the Czech Masters Championship will be awarded. The order of the prize giving: DH21, DH16, DH18, DH20, DH35, DH40, DH45, DH50, DH55, DH60, DH65, DH70, DH75 and H80. The winners will be awarded by prizes, diplomas and medals.

REGULATIONS, EXPECTED WINNING TIMES
The competition in WRE classes H21 and D21 runs according to the IOF Rules. Winning times are given by following table:

The competition in other classes runs according to the current Competition rules of the Czech orienteering competition section, and Provisions for orienteering competitions of the Czech Orienteering Federation for the year 2017.

COMPLAINTS
Any protests should be made in writing either personally to the course controller (according to article 26.1 of the Czech foot-o rules) or by post to Dominika Pachnerová, U Slunečních lázní 1277/3, 460 14 Liberec 14 (according to article 26.2 of the Czech foot-o rules). The protest fee must be paid in cash along with the writing protest.
WRE: complaints can be made free of charge, in written form on official complaint form, at latest 15 minutes after publication of the official results (after closing of the finish area) into the hands of Event Adviser. The complaint form are available in the Event Office. The dealing with complaints and potentially consequent protests will be performed according to IOF rules, section 27 and 28.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
All competitors are running at their own risk.
The competition is held in the Jizera Mountains Protected Landscape Area (CHKO), therefore we kindly ask you to respect the visitor rules.
The timber harvesting is in process. It is possible to meet cars, forest machinery (and bikers) in the competition area.
We ask runners to keep the Event centre clean (waste sorting: yellow bags for plastic, blue for other waste).
Dogs are not allowed into the forest
Sales and promotional activities (except for the promotion of orienteering Events) are possible only with the permission from the Event director.

In the Event centre.

CATERING
Food and beverages will be available to purchase during the Event at the Event centre.

ACCOMODATION
The organisers provides pre-ordered hard-floor accommodation in a gym in Mníšek (from 22.9.2017 to 24.9.2017) and in Raspenava (from 23.9.2017 to 24.9.2017). Detailed information about the locations, driving directions, etc. will be available at the Event office and on the web site. The gyms are open from 18.00 on Friday and 17.00 on Saturday. All Event participants are required to leave the gyms before 9.00 on Sunday. Camping in the Event centre is forbidden.

QUALIFICATION – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2017

STARTS
00 = 12:00, interval start
There are 2 starts, S1 is for Czech Championship (DH16 – 21), S2 for other classes.

Event centre – quarantine zone   2 100 m, elevation 60 m
Quarantine zone – S1                           200 m
Event centre – S2                                2 200 m, elevation 60 m
The route to both starts is the same as far as the quarantine to the quarantine and it is marked with blue ribbons.
Event centre – start of training area  600 m
End of training area - quarantine   1 100 m

QUARANTINE
All competitors of the Czech Championships must punch SI unit placed at the entrance to the quarantine zone, at the latest at the competition time 35 = 12:35:00. From that point they cannot leave the quarantine zone, they can only continue to the start. There will be a shelter, water, toilets available, as well as a place to put off clothes which the runners want to get transported back to the Event centre. It is forbidden to use any telecommunications technology in the quarantine zone.

Competitors of the Czech Championships will receive their maps (marked with their SI number and name) at the start line. Other classes will take their maps on the way from the start line to the map start. Maps are collected at the finish, then distributed to clubs on Sunday after the start of the last competitor in the finish area.

CONTROL DESCRIPTIONS
Control descriptions for the Czech Championship competitors will be printed only on maps. For competitors of other categories, control descriptions will be available in the Event centre and also printed on the maps.

TIME LIMIT
Classes D21 and H21 150 min., other classes 120 min.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
It is forbidden to enter private areas, areas marked with map symbol 524.0 (high fence) and newly planted forest clearings – marked with violet hatch in the map and with red-white tape in some important places in the terrain. This will be checked at random by organisers. Any violations will result in disqualification.
There is Highly Protected Landscape Area behind the southern border of the map. It is forbidden area during the competition – marked with hatch in the map.

By reason of regularity of the race a short lap of a route near the Event centre will be banned. It will be marked with violet crosses in the map.

QUALIFICATIONS INTO FINAL “A”
D16, H16, D18, H18       three heats, first 6 competitors from each heat
D20, H20                           two heats, first 9 competitors from each heat
D21                                     four heats, first 6 competitors from each heat
H21                                     four heats, first 8 competitors from each heat
Masters: first 50 % competitors, but max. 30; in case of less than 10 competitors all of them qualify to Final A.

FINAL – SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2017

STARTS
00 = 09:30, interval start
There are 2 starts, S1 is for Final A of the Czech Championship (DH16A – 21A), S2 for other classes.

START LISTS
Will be published on the Event website on Saturday evening and announced in the Event centre.

DISTANCES
Event centre – quarantine zone      700 m, elevation 25 m
Quarantine zone – S1                          200 m
Event centre – S2                               1 400 m, elevation 40 m
The route to both starts is the same as far as the quarantine and it is marked with blue ribbons. The route to S2 then follows blue ribbons. At this spot the competitors of the Final A of the Czech Championship enter the quarantine. The route from the quarantine to S1 is marked with arrows.

QUARANTINE
All competitors of the Final A of the Czech Championship (not Masters) must punch SI unit placed at the entrance to the quarantine zone at the latest at the competition time 150 = 12:00:00. From that point they cannot leave the quarantine. There will be a shelter, water, and toilets available in the quarantine zone, as well as a place to put off clothes which runners want to get transported back to the Event centre. At the pre-start, there will be number bibs, control descriptions for the runners of Final A of the Czech Championships, GPS (see below). It is forbidden to use any telecommunication technology in the quarantine zone.

TRAINING MAP
Enabled only on Saturday.

NUMBER BIBS
Competitors of the Final A of the Czech Championship (not Masters) will run with number bibs which they take themselves at the pre-start. Competitors are requested to place the number bib on their chests.

GPS
Selected runners from classes D21A and H21A run with GPS units which they receive from the organisers at the pre-start. The list of selected runners will be available on the Event website on Saturday evening. It will be also published in the Event centre and in the quarantine zone. GPS units will be collected at the finish. All categories have also control descriptions printed on the map.

TIME LIMIT
Classes DH21 180 min., other classes 150 min.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
According to the rules for the IOF WRE races, competitors in classes D21A and H21A are allowed to carry a GPS device only without map display and not for navigation.
Be careful, the courses can collide (the control point can be on the join), or the controls can be close to each other (see pictures):

Frequented route (third class) leads on the border of the map. It is forbidden to run on this route (marked with violet crosses in the map.
